A New Home Part Two

This is the second post showing a client's recently built new home. I start here with the open space combining the kitchen and great room.
The kitchen is a great mix of subtle grey tones. The mercury glass pendant lights add light and reflection.
Before the house was even built my client showed me a photo of the type of counter stool she wanted. It was upholstered with nail head trim. I found these counters stools at Vanguard Furniture. The nail heads are standard and the stools are covered in an outdoor fabric from Kravet. Beautiful and practical.
The wide planked wood floor, in medium to dark brown tones, is a great contrast to the grays of the kitchen.
The kitchen faces into the great room.  The great room is a wonderful mix of textures and materials. The wood floor is partially covered by a a natural plant fiber area rug. The sofas are upholstered in a lightly textured chenille fabric. The coffee table top is planks of lightly distressed wood. The staircase railing brings a bit of metal into the mix.
The fireplace surround and mantel, made of smooth, grey limestone, adds a subtle French element.
There is a gorgeous wood framed mirror on its way from Restoration Hardware that will hang over the fireplace. The perfect metal chandelier is from Currey & Co.
Looking into the great room from the kitchen during construction.
The great room, bar area and staircase, not quite ready but getting close.
Custom bookcases on each side of the fireplace complete the wall.
Swivel, monogrammed bar stools add a personal detail.

The master bedroom has a custom designed upholstered bed. The linen embroidered fabric is from Maxwell Fabrics. The over sized nail heads coordinate with the large scaled pattern of the fabric.

The bedroom during the painting phase. The walls are painted in Sherwin Williams' Quietude.
The master bathroom in progress. The paint color is Rain washed from Sherwin Williams.
The beautiful, sleek chandelier in the master bath is from Currey & Co.
My clients now have a wonderful new house and a warm, welcoming home.
