Inspired By Matisse

I am always inspired by the works of Matisse. His use of color is dynamic and amazing.
The patterns he creates are vibrant and inviting.

I look at his work and think," I want to go there."
Sultry shapes, vivacious color, beautiful art.
Where do you find inspiration?

  1. Inspiration is the magic potion, isn't it? That formula that isn't written anywhere and can't be bought in a bottle. It seems to find you, sometimes in the most unexpected places. Since I have "blog fever" lately, that has been my open door for inspiration to walk through.

  2. My favorite artist! We share a love for the bold, saturated and brave expressions. I love Matisse's paper cut outs. I once had my kids cut out shapes the Matisse style that reminded them of our time in Thailand. I instructed them to make the cutouts abstract rather than obvious. It was a lot of fun. I need to find those and frame them.
