Living Rooms

Living rooms come in many looks, shapes and sizes. Here are a few I find well designed, stylish and comfortable.
What I like about this room is how the elements of color, texture and pattern are used. The various shades of green and cream are in a soothing and livable combination. The textures of the fabrics mix beautifully with the glass and metal of the tables and lamps. The arrangement of  framed botanicals over the sofa is a wonderful focal point and it creates the main pattern in the room. The design elements work together to make this setting beautiful and comfortable.
This living room has a cool blue, grey and white palette that is calm and easy to live with. The furniture arrangement is great for watching television and it is also a comfortable conversation area. The Roman shade in a printed fabric with a border makes a stunning focal point in this setting.

The grey and yellow color combination in this room gives it a fresh, updated look. The inviting style of the setting comes from the clean lined furniture covered in soft, lush fabrics.
I love the soft colors in this room. It is full of light and very charming. Most living rooms are grounded with a sofa. What I like here are the groups of chairs. It is versatile, welcoming and comfortable. The high ceilings, beautiful moldings and slightly formal details create a beautifully designed room.

  1. I'm all about the last one. From the groupings of chairs, to the absent sofa, to the pinkish/lavender walls, to the high ceilings, to the huge mirror,to the wide plank floor, to the simple window treatment, to the view from the windows. It all works for me. I love a room that allows for a little rearranging when the mood strikes. This one has it!
