Emerald

As you may have heard Pantone, the self proclaimed authority on color, has named the color of the year for 2013. It is Emerald, glowing, gorgeous and green.
 
 Pantone's Emerald is a bit on the blue side for me but it is emerald.  This post will show you various ways you can use this glorious color in your home.
 The beautiful emerald green window treatments are stunning with the gray walls and white chairs.

    I'm not sure how I'll be using emerald this year - I may use it in small doses - as in accessories. I do like those pillows & jardinieres.

    It is a gorgeous green and I do love green. But...I've already committed to other members of the green family in my decor. However, I think it might be just the thing to perk up the wardrobe...a scarf and beret, a sweater, or satin blouse for the holidays...I like the idea of using such a powerful color in small doses on things that appear and disappear...maybe goblets for the dining table or napkins with silver napkin rings...how about towels in an all white bathroom? I'm sure emerald will show up in a multitude of products that allow us to honor it as #1 for 2013.
